Hi, I’m Melissa
Experienced Leader | Author | Advocate for Women
I’m glad you found your way here.
This space brings together the work and experiences that have shaped me, my story, my advocacy, and the brands and communities I’ve had the privilege to serve.
From my book Grateful Anyway to The Cycle podcast to my marketing and leadership work, everything here is rooted in connection, resilience, and creating something meaningful.
Whether I’m sharing my journey with chronic illness, having honest conversations about women’s health or leadership, or helping organizations build experiences and operations that truly connect with people, my hope is simple: to create work that makes people feel seen, supported, and inspired.
This is a place for real stories, meaningful conversations, and ideas that leave a lasting impact.
Building things that matter.
In my day-to-day work, I have the opportunity to lead across multiple verticals, helping bring ideas to life and supporting teams, brands, and experiences that connect with people in meaningful ways. Whether it’s inside a theater, behind the scenes with a team, or working alongside partners, I’m passionate about creating experiences that bring people together.
Leader
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to help grow brands, lead teams, and navigate seasons of change at some incredible organizations, including Emagine Entertainment, FilmFog, and Moosejaw. From entertainment to retail and beyond, I’ve always been drawn to building meaningful experiences that support people and marketing operations, and to helping organizations grow in ways that truly connect with their communities and guests.
01Women in Exhibition
I’ve also had the privilege of supporting Women in Exhibition over the years, first by helping lead marketing and brand efforts, and later serving as President. And soon as the Past President's advisory role, helping mentor, champion, and create opportunities for the next generation of leaders in our industry.
02Author & Podcast Host
Outside of my corporate work, I’m the author of Grateful Anyway, a memoir about navigating chronic illness, resilience, and finding hope in the unexpected. I also host The Cycle, a podcast centered on endometriosis, women’s health, and honest conversations around advocacy, healing, and self-empowerment.
03Everything I do, whether in business or in life, is rooted in connection. I believe in connection, building things that matter, and finding gratitude.
When I’m not working, you can usually find me traveling, strength training, reading, spending time outdoors, or at the movies.
